In honor of the Tamil New Year, our students participated in a series of activities to celebrate the importance of our rich Tamil heritage. Tamil Language Celebration: Students delivered speeches in Tamil on the significance of the Tamil language, highlighting its cultural importance. A Kummipattu was sung by our students to help them understand and appreciate Tamil culture. An activity was conducted where students worked on finding the literal meanings of ancient Tamil words in English. Our Principal encouraged the students to take an oath to write in their mother tongue and commit to avoiding any mistakes in the language. This is the greatest form of reciprocation towards our Tamil heritage. Dr. Ambedkar’s Birth Anniversary: On the same day, we also celebrated Dr. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. The students were encouraged to learn more about Dr. Ambedkar’s biography and significant life events. The Principal urged all students to read Dr. Ambedkar’s autobiography to better understand his contributions to society. Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to more such celebrations that enrich our students’ understanding of their culture and history!
